Pastor Rick Davis was raised in a Christian home where he learned about the love and grace of God from an early age. Rick grew up in Garland, Texas at a time when cotton fields separated the town from the big city of Dallas. Rick received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M Commerce and enjoyed his business career for 20 years before becoming a minister in the United Methodist Church.

In 1991 Rick married Tracie, the love of his life, and settled down in Richardson, Texas. They raised three children and now enjoy seven grand girls!

Rick enjoyed his career in business but always felt that God wanted him to do something different. In 2002 Rick made the big move from the business world to the ministry when he took a position as a Full Time Local Pastor at Archer City FUMC. After completing the 5 year United Methodist Course of Study, Rick decided he wanted to learn even more, so he enrolled at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. While working on his master’s degree, Rick and Tracie moved to Chico, Texas where he served as the senior minister of Morris Memorial UMC.

Rick received his Master’s of Divinity in December of 2014. In July 2015, Rick was appointed to First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park. Rick and Tracie are delighted to be in Iowa Park where they enjoy the close-knit community and serve a church committed to actively serving Christ at home and around the world. They are also thrilled to be living closer to their children and grandchildren.

Rick also enjoys hiking in the Colorado mountains with Tracie, gardening, classic rock and roll, just about any book on history and time spent with family.
